| What does this mean- "be simply Christians"? This means we must shake off the burden of denominationalism, the charade of ecumenism and allow God and God alone to be the Designer and Architect of our physical and spiritual lives. Our spiritual goals should be the same- to glorify God the Father through God the Son as we find those spiritual goals in the Bible, God the Spirit inspired word. We believe that being simply Christians is the only good and perfect will of God. At South Terrebonne church of Christ, our focus is on serving God and bringing the simple message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our community. We are a congregation of the New Testament church that you read about in the Bible. Throughout the recent history of the Lord's church, good and honest men and women have tried to continue in the simple teachings of the New Testament. We do not offer you new or strange teachings. We do not have a different or another revelation from God. Our belief is that God's Word, the Bible, is God's only revelation to humankind. It is in the Bible that we find all we need to know about the will of God for us, the way of salvation and how to live a pleasing and acceptable life for Him. |
